Another good resource for Linux Reviews: Tech Radar Best Linux Apps for 2024
These reviews are concerned with Linux software packages with which I’m familiar. And for which I have at least some motivation to write about. This usually means that they have impressed me with their user friendliness and reliability. But it can also mean that there’s something lacking in an otherwise impressive package!
MuseScore is in this category! MuseScore is indeed a very impressive software package! In fact it is in my opinion the very best music notation software ever developed in the history of computers, whether proprietary or not, and regardless of the price! However, it is not yet perfect! There is still quite a bit of room for improvement!
K3B, on the other hand, is the closest to “perfect”, that I’ve ever seen in Windows or Linux! It was the very first CD burner to have real “bit for bit” burning from source to destination, without regard to DRM! But they did not stop there! They focused on real “ease of use” and did a great job!
