Computer Repair in Bloomington, CA

Bloomington is the nearest place we go, a little over three miles south. It is also the one most often left out, and that is worth explaining, because it is not an accident.

Bloomington is an unincorporated community of roughly 25,000 people rather than an incorporated city. Plenty of businesses build their coverage lists from city names, so unincorporated areas quietly fall off the end — you search, you find a page listing Fontana and Colton and Rialto, and yours is not on it. That does not mean nobody will come. It usually means nobody updated the list.

Things Worth Trying Before You Call Us

We would rather you kept the $60 than spent it on something you could have fixed in five minutes. In rough order of how often they work:

• Restart properly. Not sleep, not closing the lid — a full shut down and start up. On Windows 10 and 11, Shut Down and Restart are not quite the same thing; Restart is the more thorough of the two. A large share of “it has gone strange” is solved here.
• Turn the router off for a full minute. Not thirty seconds. This fixes a surprising amount of what looks like computer trouble, particularly printers that have gone offline.
• Check it is not just one program. If everything is slow, it is the machine. If one application is slow, it is that application, and that is a much smaller problem.
• Look at free disk space. A drive with almost nothing left makes a computer behave as though it is broken. Under about 10% free is worth acting on.
• Write down the exact wording of any error. Photograph it if that is easier. The precise words are often the whole diagnosis, and “some error came up” is not.

If you have been through those and it is still wrong, the problem is a real one and worth a visit. Telling us what you already tried also saves us both repeating it.
